This guide aims at providing a brief introduction about the Pet System in Overmortal. After reading it, you will be more clear about which pet to choose and raise in order to level up your gaming experience.
What are the Pets?
Basic Pets
There are 4 basic types of pets in Overmortal, each of which has a Base Form and an Advanced Form.
- Lion: Base Form-Babelion; Advanced Form-Dracolion
- Wyrm: Base Form-Babewyrm; Advanced Form-Necrowyrm
- Turtoise: Base Form-Babetoise; Advanced Form-Daemotoise
- Fox: Base Form-Babeox; Advanced Form-Visiox
Special Pets
Apart from Lion, Wyrm, Turtoise and Fox, there are another two special pets you may have chance to get.
- Deer: Base Form-Babedeer; Advanced Form: Unknown yet
- Serpent: Base Form-Berpent; Advanced Form: Unknown yet
How Can I Get Pets?
Pet Stone Identification
Pet Stone Identification grants you a chance to get one of the four basic Pets directly from a Pet Stone, which can be obtained from Realm Autoplay, Weekly Event Exchange, Side Quests, Story Quests, Daily Quests, Daily Events, etc.
Exchange Pet With Essences
Gain Epic Essences from Pet Stone Identification or limited-time events. Such Essences can be given to the Beast Master in exchange for specified Pets.
Pet Bags
A Pet Bag randomly grants one of the four basic Pets. You can mainly obtain Pet Bags as total purchase rewards or from Weekly Event Exchange.
What are the Skills of Each Pet?
- Lion (Babelion): highest single-target damage; Corporia-related debuffs on the enemy
- Wyrm (Babewyrm): best multi-target AoE damage; Magicka-related debuffs on the enemy
- Turtoise (Babetoise): low damage but tanky; taunt skill; Evasion and Defence
- Fox (Babeox): average damage; stuns enemies; remove enemy buffs
- Deer (Babedeer): average damage and debuffs enemy resistance to PvP damage
- Serpent (Berpent): second highest single-target damage; tanky; removes enemy buffs
General Rules for Pet Guide
To put it simply, there are just 3 straightforward rules that you'd better to keep in mind in Overmortal:
- Focus on only 1 pet
- Use Babelion for Corporia
- Use Wyrm only if you have more for Magicka
Why only one pet?
Pets are difficult to upgrade. You will need a plenty of Essences, and multiple Copies of the same pet to increase its rarity. If you want your pet to be helpful in daily activities, it's more effective to just focus on raising one pet.
