Honkai: Star Rail Characters Tier List (March 2024)
Similar to classic RPGs, Honkai: Star Rail is a new HoYoverse space fantasy role-playing game that provides an abundance of character options. The starting characters in the game, Silver Wolf and Kafka, are first controlled by the players. The adventure then begins when players are forced to form their own squad in the game following a few standoffs. As the plot develops, more characters are added to the game; in this Honkai: Star Rail Characters Tier List Guide, we'll compile a list of the greatest characters to choose from.
We have spent many hours playing the game, and after that, we have discovered the following tier list, which arranges characters based on the elements and rarity of the game. The purpose of this character tier list is to assist novice players in starting teams with the strongest characters possible. Best Wind Element
Bronya (Buff)
Bronya is a 5 Star Wind-type elemental character. She follows the Path of Harmony to provide her group enormous offensive boosts. Due to her special ability to turn the tide for a designated buddy, she is the best all-around offensive support. This is crucial in turn-based games since it gives your group an advantage over the opposition.
Huohuo (Heal)
Huohuo is the first five-star unit advertised as a healer and battery in one. When she summons Tail, she can use her ability to recharge everyone's Ultimate and restore health. With her recharge and perks, Tingyun is one of the best allies in the game, but she can only charge one ally at a time. In this way, Huohuo's powers combine the energy recharge that a character like Tingyun provides with the healing Abundance characters are renowned for. Prioritize her Ultimate over her Skill and Talent since she uses it to replenish more energy as it rises in level.
Best Quantum Element
Fu Xuan (Support)
Fu Xuan is a versatile unit that fits into many team comps. Her main appeal is her ability to solo sustain, meaning she can keep an entire team alive without help from another character. Fu Xuan specializes in damage reduction instead of shielding like other Preservation characters. Her skill creates an effect called "Matrix of Prescience" that distributes damage from teammates to herself and raises teammates' HP and Crit Rate for three turns. Fu Xuan can self-heal, so there's no worry about whether she can stay afloat or not. If her HP dips below 50%, it triggers her talent which heals her almost back to full health.

Kafka (Damage over Time)
Kafka is a Nihility unit, but her damage scales off ATK stats and how much DoT (Damage over Time) she can stack on the enemy. The overall DoT stacking can lead to some really big numbers from her ultimate, which makes her a powerful sub-DPS capable of debuffing enemies.
Best Fire Element
Topaz & Numby
Topaz's kit is quite different from those of other Honkai: Star Rail characters; she's a DPS herself, but she also fulfills a combat role as a specialized support for DPS characters who rely on follow-up attack damage, as Topaz's debuff ability makes her opponents more vulnerable to follow-up attacks.
Best Imaginary Element
Imbibitor Lunae
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is a DPS character who can consume multiple Skill Points in one turn to unleash an array of enhanced abilities. The unique "Squama Sacrosancta" feature can be used to offset his Skill Point consumption. He's specializing in both single-target and AoE DPS through his enhanced basic attacks.
Best Ice Element
Jingliu
Jingliu is the first Limited 5★ Ice character and follows the Path of Destruction. Emulating the phases of the Moon, she also transitions between two phases, one where she accumulates stacks of Syzygy and one where she can unleash powerful Blast AoE skills while draining the HP of her teammates. Like many other Destruction units, she brings a nice mix of AoE and single-target damage to any team.
Ruan Mei
Ruan Mei is a five-star Ice character who follows the Path of The Harmony. As a Harmony character, her specialty is increasing your team's stats in order to deal more DMG, and she does this in quite a unique way, which revolves around Weakness Break and Break Effect.
Best Physical Element
Argenti
Argenti is a 5-Star Physical character of The Erudition path best at providing AOE Physical damage with his two Ultimate types:
- Half Energy Version (90 Energy): Ideal for clearing weaker enemies efficiently.
- Full Energy Version (180 Energy): Reserved for high-level Elites and bosses, delivering massive AoE and single-target damage with 6 extra bounces dealing toughness damage.
