August 3rd Maintenance Update for Girls’ Frontline

Hello everyone, today we’re going talk about the August 3rd Maintenance Update for Girls’ Frontline. We’ll be covering some banner updates, some newcomers to the T-Doll pool, and a seriously unexpected rerun of the Girls’ Frontline x DJMAX Respect crossover event.

First and foremost are the banners. “My Summer With Her” and “Summer Wave” will both be leaving come the end of maintenance, and in their place will be “Morning Glories and Moonflowers,” featuring costumes for Gr G36c, OTS-14, PKP, and Gr MP5. There will be two furniture sets being added to this banner: the four-star “Hot Spring Time” and the five-star “Let’s Go To Seoul.”
For August, we’ll be seeing the new shotgun join the ranks as a login reward for this month.

With jet wing-esque shield around her back and holding probably the best-selling shotgun in America, TS12 stands as a decent three-star, but her stats certainly show her star-count. Her buff tiles aren’t great, and her ability, while a cool feature, tries to place her as an offensive shotgun, something that even five-stars struggle to pull off. Still, definitely raifu material. That shotgun’s a mean one in real life with a magazine that can rotate around twice to load in five extra rounds each for a grand total of fifteen rounds without needing a reload. If the design looks vaguely familiar, it might be because its design is based on the TAR-21.
Now we can go on to the meat and bones of this update, which is the Pocket City event, better known as the Girls’ Frontline x DJMAX Respect crossover event. This event has one primary reason to run, and her name is El Clear, but we’ll be going over all of the potential goodies you can get, starting with the Limited Drops.

Out of the drops, the main ones I’d advise striving for are PP-19 and SRS. PP-19 has great buffs and skill, while SRS is a great damage-dealer, kinda like a lower-powered Lee Enfield.
Next up is a look at the event rewards for the event.

Next, you can see the Fairies you can get from the event. While they all actually have some level of use, it’s highly advised to get Preiya & Camila. They have a very good skill that will put down a red node and a yellow node down somewhere on the battlefield. If a T-Doll stands in the red node, they get a Damage Buff (30% at max level) with a decrease in Evasion (20% at max level). If a T-Doll stands in a yellow node, they get a 20% (at max level) buff to Evasion and Armor, with a Damage and Accuracy decrease of 20% (at max level). While the sacrifices seem high, shifting your T-Dolls around to match these nodes can really bring out the oomph you might need for an AR or SMG.

Suee is the other purchasable one, and her aura is awful, but her skill can really help out when dealing with high-effort enemies like bosses, operating similarly to the Construction Fairy. Using her skill lines petals down on nodes on the overmap and moving an Echelon to those nodes will give them a 20% buff to damage, accuracy, crit-rate, evasion, and armor, which is a helluva buff for just standing at the right spot for it.
You’ll get Ladymade Star for free as a mission reward. While a bit painfully average in aura, she has a skill like a watered-down Warrior Fairy. It’s a simple 20% buff to Damage (at max level and rarity) that also decreases enemy accuracy by 10% for 10 seconds. If you don’t have a Warrior Fairy, she’s a fine free substitute, but there’s not too awful much mileage to have.
Next, you can see the rewards for the rerun missions here.
Again, El Clear is a seriously good HG for RF teams, so if you take anything from this rerun, get her (and her exclusive equipment if you can). Her tile buff gives a 30% Rate of Fire and Accuracy by 50%, which, when factoring in that she covers tiles 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8, you can really buff up your RF team. Adding to that, her skill gives a buff to Accuracy and Damage by 30% (40% if using her exclusive equipment) to five random allies. This can get obscene when set up on the RF squads, so seek her out immediately.
Lastly, there will also be four new packages in the shop:
El Clear Pocket City Package – El Clear’s Pocket City Queen the Second Costume and 50 Tokens (1588 Gems)
El Fail Pocket City Package – El Fail’s Pocket City Queen the Second Costume and 50 Tokens (1588 Gems)
