Tower of Fantasy version 2.5 update "Sound of the Sea" to arrive on May 11 with a new simulacrum, Gnonno

Tower of Fantasy, one of the rising gacha titles has announced some exciting news for the wanderers. Level Infinite and developer Hotta Studio announced the version 2.5 update Sound of the Sea, the next major expansion for Tower of Fantasy, the hit free-to-play, open-world MMORPG, which will arrive on May 11, 2023. 

Version 2.5 will feature new map expansions

With the latest version, Wanderers can now explore The Dark Source's Deepsea Caverns, which are the deepest, darkest, and most dangerous portion of the ocean. To resist the incredibly high water pressure that comes with accessing The Dark Source, Wanderers will need to update their resources through necessary tasks as they go deeper into the enigmatic ocean. Locked Patrol Guard and Inactive Surveillance Guard, two new puzzle-solving challenges will also be available.

The difficulty will rise with Dimension rather than Wanderer level in Sound of the Sea, raising the power of foes encountered and offering additional rewards for completing puzzles and discovering treasure chest contents. The introduction of Abyssant: Nakya, a sizable new World Boss with the appearance of a crimson, spider-like skeleton, will also take place.

Gnonno is set to make a debut with the version 2.5 update

In addition to a new World Boss, terrain, and challenges, the Sound of the Sea update gives Wanderers access to Gnonno, a new physical replica. Gnonno aspires to be a great explorer like her grandfather Nuok, who was part of the expedition that found Innars. However, her reputation for being a troublemaker and having a wild personality occasionally gets in the way.

Years ago, she convinced her best buddy to go exploring with her despite being well-acquainted with the treacherous seas, but only Gnonno made it back. There are many unanswered questions regarding what happened, but one thing is certain: Gnonno was given the ability to call forth a bizarre, octopus-like creature and control its tentacles.
