Chinese publishing giant Bilibili has announced the release date of their first internally developed project - an action role-playing game called Higan: Eruthyll. This recently released role-playing game features a semi-card-based combat system with some hero-collecting mechanics and some really gorgeous visuals.

After only opening pre-registration about two weeks ago, Bilibili has now officially announced the launch date for the highly anticipated project, which is targeting an early 2023 launch.

But Higan: Eruthyll will begin another limited test in Malaysia and Singapore from 1 December 2022. Much like the previous beta phase, players in Malaysia and Singapore can try their luck entering the Higan: Eruthyll server until the participant cap has been reached. This test is only available for Android devices.

Data will be deleted at the end of the test, but in-app purchases are available. Once the public beta begins, you will be able to get back the currency you spent during the beta.

If you don't know much about it, Higan: Erythull sees players entering a world that's both technological, futuristic, and magical. It mixes some high-fantasy aesthetics with a kind of cyberpunk look, and somehow manages to harness both effortlessly, making the two settings come together amazingly.

Combine this art style with a plethora of characters for you to collect (possibly via the gacha system) and assemble your team, and you've got a recipe for a successful mobile RPG. But that's not all Higan: Erutyhll has to offer, as the combat system is also quite unique.

By mixing an action-based real-time combat system with cool card-based abilities using mechanics, Higan brings a new twist to typical mobile RPG combat that's rarely seen. The closest comparison I can think of is something like Punishing Gray Raven, where you have to dodge and weave between enemy attacks, and the ability to roll your own and manage your cards to take advantage of your party members.

If all of this sounds fascinating to you, this new release date is good news, as early 2023 isn't too far away. Beyond that, you can also pre-register for the game from the official website and check out more in-depth content.
