Hearthstone Season 2 Battlegrounds arrives on August 30, 2022, with new Quests and Magic
Season 2 of Hearthstone Battlegrounds will launch on August 30th, 2022, with exciting new features. Season 2 updates the mode with a new Battlegrounds Track, a Battlegrounds Season Pass, Battlegrounds Missions, Battlegrounds XP, Legendary cosmetics, hero and minion updates, and a gleaming new Magic of Azeroth cosmetic theme.

Battlegrounds Quests
Quests add a new twist to the gameplay mechanics in Battlegrounds. On turn four, players will receive a quest challenge as part of this limited-time event. They can earn a powerful reward that will boost their performance for the rest of the game! To ensure that no two games are alike, the quests and rewards are paired at random. In addition, eleven new minions and two new heroes join the fight: the gifted detective Murloc Holmes and murder victim Sire Denathrius.
New Battlegrounds Track and Season Pass
Battlegrounds will now have its own Track where players can earn Battlegrounds-exclusive emotes, cosmetics, strikes, and other rewards. Simply win games and complete Missions, which are new tasks exclusive to Battlegrounds, to advance along the path.
The Battlegrounds Season Pass, which can be purchased with real money, or Runestones, Hearthstone's new virtual currency, are also available. The Season Pass unlocks two new hero options as well as premium rewards on the track, such as higher-tier cosmetics.
The Magic of Azeroth
Make a fashion statement with a new set of magical cosmetics! The Magic of Azeroth makes its debut this season, with plenty of sparkles and shines to enhance your appearance. In a new, alternate timeline, the Dark Flight has launched a crusade to eradicate all traces of magic from society.
It is up to the Azeroth Guardians and their allies to awaken the power within them in order to save Azeroth's Magic! Players will be able to shine with new legendary hero skins and boards, which will include voice lines and animations and will change in appearance depending on where you are on the battlefield.
